Silk Road:
The long way home

Hi, my name is Sof.

I am a French photographer who lived in Bangkok for a few years. I’ve decided to quit my job and go home the long way – through the silk road, with a motorcycle!

I’ve learnt to ride motorcycles in Thailand but I don’t consider myself a real rider. To prepare for the trip, I’ve tried to learn as much as I could but going alone in the middle of nowhere still felt scary at the time.

I wanted to share my story in this blog, hoping to give a different perspective than the usual pro rider youtubers, and help inspire people who like me, have been told that they couldn’t do this trip.
